We needs a clean and transparent government for Magic to happen

For Magic to really happen, especially to support Malaysia Startup, I think the most important things for our Government to be transparent and Clean.

Not sure if you aware of this, few years back, we have a Safety App call "MyDistress", sponsored by PDRM Selangor, it's free to use, and so far, very effective app, as it direct link to Police Selangor..

Then our Government decided to kill the project, and started a New App call "SaveMe999", Project Cost-> RM 1 billion, without open tender, and not asking us "Watch Over Me App" to submit proposal, An App that have won Several International Awards (Including best Startup at Silicon Valley at 2012), and features in number of TV in US.

We aren't given chance to proof ourself..

How can we compete and growth in this environment?

Then grow global. We are born to solve problem, not just in Malaysia, but the world. We serve the world, pal.
Pal, just put my thot here, as a Malaysian Entrepreneur (We are going Global, btw)

Without solving this fundamental problem, Magic will be just like MDec, a lot of "Wu Ha",  at the end, created a lot of white elephants, wasting Tax payer money.

Also, sorry to be open here.
Magic suppose to be help local Entrepreneurs, money should spend wisely on all activities to help growth the communities,

For what I see, that's a lot of Money throw it for the opening (I am OK with that..as Magic do needs spotlight), but what the needs to spend money to throw in another "Appreciation Party"? As you are celebrating a success already..

Does "Magic" knows how to run Lean?

The solution from the government is always a quite simple one: Try another one again. Our government seems to be firm believer of Lean Startup, when one doesn't deliver result, make sure we pivot by starting another new new project. Maybe the old one just leave it running.

DDEC, AIMS, MDEC, MAGiC, ICON, etc. One failed, start another. This is the pivot, pal.
I think MaGIC aware this part of disadvantage comparing to other nation, true without a transparent and open minded or so call equal opportunity for any Malaysian and foreigner, Malaysia will be far from success to attract people to innovate.

But I still believe Malaysia is the best place for going global, unfortunately policy and strategy are not friendly for entrepreneur

I will address some of these concerns tomorrow at the ED. Please bring them up so we can discuss.
Cheryl, unfortunately the seats of ED are limited and not all of us are able to participate. Appreciated that you can highlight the roadmap of MaGIC.
Cheryl, hmm, I still haven't receive invitation :P

Sorry to ask, but curiosity won't kill me.
Seem like I missed something, well it would be my honor to have invited to ED.
